Reader’s Advisory Service:
The Palmer Branch welcomes all avid readers to
fill out our “Reader’s Advisory” forms. If you
love reading a particular author and have read
all their books, let us match you up with
another author that writes similarly. We
can do the same with a favorite plot, topic or
even if you have a favorite title, we will be
happy to do a search for other titles written
similarly. |

SUPPORT OUR
TROOPS! During this holiday
season the Palmer Branch would like
to invite you and your family to
write a letter to a serviceman/women
that will be stationed overseas
during the holidays. On Tuesday,
November 13 beginning at 6:00pm we
will have holiday cards, stationery
and crafting materials available for
children who would like to create a
holiday card. Support Our Troops,
Inc. will send all the cards
overseas in time for the holidays.
This program is an ideal way to let
the men & women serving in the Armed
Forces know that they are being
remembered during the holiday
season. This program is open to ALL
ages. If you would like to just sign
a card, we will have holiday cards
available.

Support Our Troops, Inc led
by Valerie and Blair
Ferguson send packages on a
regular basis (not just
during the holidays) to U.S.
soldiers serving overseas.
If you know anyone that is
currently serving overseas,
especially from our local
area, that would like to
receive a package, please
contact: Support The Troops,
Inc, 143 Pinehurst Lane,
Easton, PA 18042 or sttroops@gmail.com.
For anyone interested in
donating items that our
troops are in need of,
please stop in the Palmer
Branch for a list of useful
items. Personal notes to our
soldiers from adults and
school aged children are
always in need and really
boost their moral, letting
them know that the people
back home support them! If
you would like to write a
letter, Support the Troops
will be happy to send your
letter. Drop it off at the
Palmer Branch and we will
see that the organization
receives it. Please do not
date the correspondence.

Library Elf: An elf has
appeared at the Palmer Branch. He is in need of a name! Once
he is named, he will become magical.
Each week the library elf will be "somewhere" in the
library. When you visit the library, look for him and write
down where you saw him. However you must NEVER TOUCH the
elf, or he will lose his magical powers. You MAY talk to him
and tell him all your holiday wishes,
BUT NO TOUCHING!
On Wednesday, December 19th one name will be drawn. The
winner will win the elf and an activity book. Come in and
have fun with our Library Elf!! |
